Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program in Iuka, MS. The role involves constructing, testing, and maintaining equipment per drawings and instructions, with duties spanning calibration, data reporting, and solution preparation.

Candidate must be enrolled full-time in engineering, major in STEM fields, and able to obtain security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications

Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 202.
Be majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other STEM major
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Responsibilities

Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
