Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Facilities Engineering Intern to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program in Clearfield, Utah. You will assist Engineering, Project Management and Construction Engineering teams with drawings, specs, and equipment estimates, and support procurement and installation of large capital equipment for aerospace programs.

Ideal candidates are enrolled full-time in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, able to work 40 hours/week for 10 weeks in summer 2027, and capable of

Qualifications

• Full-time enrollment and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related STEM field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) and Program Special access as needed.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Works well in teams and can manage multiple tasks in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering, Project Management and Construction Engineering teams with drawings, specifications and equipment estimates.
• Assist in procurement and installation of large capital equipment for aerospace programs.
• Oversee design/construction aspects of new building needs and modifications to existing sites.
• Tasks will be varied based on project need and team assignments.
