Lord Abbett invites highly motivated students to join the Advisor Consultant Internship in Jersey City for a nine-week summer program beginning in June 2027. Participants will gain exposure to financial sales, marketing, and client service, working with senior leaders across the firm and receiving industry-leading training.

Interns are paired with mentors, receive weekly feedback, and have opportunities to engage with leadership, with a clear path to a full-time return offer after graduation.

Qualifications

• Interest in client-facing careers in financial services.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible for full-time employment in Winter or Summer 2028.

Responsibilities

• Develop a basic understanding of financial markets and stay curious.
• Learn about mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and retirement products.
• Understand and present top Lord Abbett investment vehicles.
• Explain current market conditions and their impact on products.
• Assist Leadership with U.S. Retail marketing initiatives.
• Support Advisor Consultants and Regional Managers with marketing materials.
• Take notes on webinars and meetings for the Leadership Team.
• Shadow successful Advisor Consultants and share key takeaways.
• Think proactively and execute value-adding ideas.
• Collaborate with senior sales specialists on client outreach and illustrations.
