Job summary

Modern Woodmen of America in Rock Island, IL is offering an Actuarial Finance Internship for students who have passed at least one actuarial exam. You will work with our actuaries on product design, corporate modeling, and financial reporting, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

This 11-week, full-time summer internship pays $25.00 per hour and requires a bachelor’s in actuarial finance or related field, with strong MS Office skills and SOA exam progress.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial finance or a related field.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• At least one SOA actuarial exam passed; two or more preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data for special actuarial studies.
• Learn about product design and administration, corporate modeling, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with actuaries on day-to-day projects as needed.
• Update actuarial reports and spreadsheets.
• Provide widespread support to staff actuaries and Actuarial Services section.
