Job summary

Modern Woodmen of America offers an Actuarial Finance Internship in Rock Island, IL. You will collect and analyze data for actuarial studies, learn product design, corporate modeling, and financial reporting while collaborating with actuaries on day-to-day projects.

The program is a full-time, 11-week summer internship with 37.5 hours per week, on-site, and paid $25.00 per hour. Preference for candidates with an SOA exam passed; relocation not sponsored.

Qualifications

• Affectively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial finance or related field.
• Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• At least one SOA actuarial exam passed, two or more preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data for special actuarial studies.
• Learn about product design and administration, corporate modeling, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with actuaries on day-to-day projects as needed.
• Update actuarial reports and spreadsheets.
• Provide widespread support to staff actuaries and Actuarial Services section.
