Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites motivated students to join our Transportation Business Group in Florida as an internship.

You will gain hands-on experience in transportation planning, design, and infrastructure while being mentored by experienced engineers. Support engineers on planning, design, and multi-disciplinary projects, participate in field visits and meetings, and use CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and GIS to solve real-world challenges while developing professional skills within HDR’s employee-owned

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
  • Desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a professional environment.
  • Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar software is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineers and project teams on transportation planning, design, and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with roadway, bridge, aviation, transit, and multimodal transportation assignments.
  • Participate in field visits, project meetings, and technical analyses.
  • Utilize engineering software, GIS tools, and industry technologies to solve real-world challenges.
  • Collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines in a team-oriented environment.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that improve project delivery and transportation outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a professional environment.
  • Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar software is a plus.

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
