HDR is seeking a Summer 2027 Transportation Intern to join our Transportation Business Group in Tampa, FL. You'll support transportation planning, design, and infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience with field visits and technical analyses.

You'll collaborate with engineers across disciplines, gain exposure to CAD, GIS, Civil 3D, and related software, and participate in project meetings, contributing to safe, sustainable mobility solutions while building your professional

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

  • Support engineers and project teams on transportation planning, design, and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with roadway, bridge, aviation, transit, and multimodal transportation assignments.
  • Participate in field visits, project meetings, and technical analyses.
  • Utilize engineering software, GIS tools, and industry technologies to solve real-world challenges.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a professional environment.
  • Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar software is a plus.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
