• Experience creating software with listed languages (C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, Rust, R, SQL, FORTRAN).
• Experience with O365 Tools, Visio, MS Teams, and Visual Studio.

What You Will Do:

• Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business.
• Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.
• Actively develop, test, demo, and deploy new and or existing in‑house software Help team execute specific digital/software roadmaps.

What You Will Learn:

• Learn about the latest technologies used on military fighter engines to evade radar and infrared threats.
• Learn how technical data is used to support 5th generation weapon system products.
• Learn about and help implement next generation digital solutions.
• Learn to use CORE principles to help drive process improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Enrolled in a degree program in computer engineering and or computer science and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 Experience creating software with common programming languages (C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, Rust, R, SQL, and or FORTRAN).
• Experience with O365 Tools, Visio, MS Teams, and Visual Studios.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and management.
• Some experience with Agile/Scrum principles
• Some experience using GitHub to manage software versioning.
• Some experience using ZenHub to manage software tasks.
• Strong writing skills to aid in the creation of method memos, release notes, software design documents, user manuals, and software requirement documents.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
