RTX in Portsmouth, RI seeks a software intern to assist in developing and testing software components, review code, and troubleshoot issues. You will join an agile team and contribute to design discussions while learning from experienced engineers.

The role requires enrollment in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree, at least 60 credit hours by start, and experience in languages such as Python, Java, C#, C++, or JavaScript. Eligible candidates must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a relevant field and actively enrolled through the internship / co‑op session.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, C++, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with software development fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, version control, and testing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
