Job summary

The Cason Group, Columbia SC, is offering a Summer Sales Student Intern program. This 10-week, 20-hours-per-week internship provides hands-on experience with our Sales Team across Group Benefits, Financial Services, and Individual Medical divisions in Columbia SC and Charlotte NC.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Marketing, Sales, or related business programs, with strong communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Consulting, or related business fields.
• Preference will be given to Risk Management, Insurance, or Business majors.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines for multiple deliverables.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify sales support tasks, set appointments, run reports, create spreadsheets, and complete related projects.
• Evaluate in-force insurance cases across divisions and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Support Reps behind the scenes to help exceed sales goals.
• Participate in team activities and mock sales presentations to sharpen skills.

What Our Summer Sales Interns Do

• Collaborate and Communicate collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify and execute sales support functions including setting appointments running reports creating spreadsheets and completing various related projects


• evaluate in force insurance cases across all divisions and communicate additional opportunities for prospective sales


• Engage as a Team Player provide support for Sales Representatives by performing a variety of behind the scenes functions that assist Reps in exceeding defined sales goals


• participate in friendly workplace competitions to help move the organization forward through delivering mock sales presentations

What We Are Looking For

• Students who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelors degree in Marketing Sales Consulting and or related Business fields


• Preference will be given to Risk Management Insurance and Business majors


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of project execution along with compliance of deadlines for a variety of deliverables


• Excellent communication interpersonal and customer services skills as well as the ability to work well with others to secure their support and cooperation


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and Teams; knowledge of databases


• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image
