Job summary

The Cason Group is seeking a Summer Sales Student Intern to support our Sales team in Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. This paid, 10-week internship runs June–August 2027, at 20 hours per week, and offers real-world experience with our sales staff, including setting appointments, running reports, and preparing materials.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related business fields, with strong communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related Business fields
• Preference for majors in Risk Management, Insurance or Business
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook and Teams; knowledge of databases
• Ability to present professional image

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify and execute sales support tasks
• Evaluate in-force insurance cases across divisions and identify opportunities
• Provide behind-the-scenes support to help Reps exceed sales goals
• Participate in workplace activities and mock sales presentations to practice skills

What Our Summer Sales Interns Do

• Collaborate and Communicate collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify and execute sales support functions including setting appointments running reports creating spreadsheets and completing various related projects


• evaluate in force insurance cases across all divisions and communicate additional opportunities for prospective sales


• Engage as a Team Player provide support for Sales Representatives by performing a variety of behind the scenes functions that assist Reps in exceeding defined sales goals


• participate in friendly workplace competitions to help move the organization forward through delivering mock sales presentations

What We Are Looking For

• Students who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelors degree in Marketing Sales Consulting and or related Business fields


• Preference will be given to Risk Management Insurance and Business majors


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of project execution along with compliance of deadlines for a variety of deliverables


• Excellent communication interpersonal and customer services skills as well as the ability to work well with others to secure their support and cooperation


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and Teams; knowledge of databases


• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image
