Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Intern for Ortho Sales in Bloomfield, CT. Join to learn front-line medical technology and work with Sales and Operations teams.

Shadow and learn selling skills, assist with kit deliveries, and participate in projects across the branch. Position offers $20–$35 per hour, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays, with housing stipend or corporate housing depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; enrolled after summer.
• Cumulative GPA 3.0+ (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. resident or citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to learn all branch aspects.
• Prepare a project segment to develop a target account list or marketing strategy.
• Learn selling skills and instrument use techniques with coaching from the team.
• Shadow and assist Team Members with kit delivery to accounts.
• Assist warehouse staff in assembling and breaking down instrument kits.
• Interact with product teams concerning the instruments.
• Support Sales and Field Operations on special projects.

What you need

• Currently working oncompletion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

What you will do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
