Job summary

Stryker invites motivated students to join our Ortho Sales internship in Bloomfield, CT. This program offers hands-on exposure to frontline healthcare technology and sales processes within a global medical devices leader.

You will shadow seasoned sales and operations teams, participate in a project developing target accounts or marketing strategies, and gain practical skills in product use and deal coordination while supporting multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Candidate currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; plan to remain enrolled after summer.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Must be a U.S. permanent resident or citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to learn branch operations.
• Prepare a project segment to develop a target account list or marketing strategy.
• Learn selling skills and instrument use techniques with coaching from sales staff.
• Shadow and assist team members in delivering kits to accounts.
• Assist warehouse team with assembling and breaking down instrument kits for surgery.
• Interact with cross-functional teams regarding products; support special projects.

What You Need

• Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (preferred)

What You Will Do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
