Job summary

Stryker is offering a Finance or Accounting internship in Portage, MI. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting while contributing to meaningful projects and mentoring from leaders.

You will apply classroom knowledge, build templates, and collaborate with teams nationwide. Must be enrolled in a degree program; GPA 3.0+; strong communication and Excel skills; legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and must remain enrolled after internship.
• GPA 3.0 or above (verified at time of hire).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to collaborate and build relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze accounting statements and reports for financial statements prep.
• Support teams in improving finance and accounting processes.
• Build ad-hoc templates using ERP and Excel to automate reporting.
• Coordinate projections and budgets and report variances to targets.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and participate in monthly close processes.
• Assist with development and maintenance of annual budgets.
• Collaborate with Finance interns nationwide on a case study project.

Opportunities Available

As a Finance or Accounting intern at Stryker, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. Interns may:

• Create and analyze accounting statements and reports to assist in preparing financial statements
• Support teams in developing and improving finance and accounting processes
• Build ad‑hoc templates and leverage ERP systems and Excel to automate and optimize reporting
• Coordinate with departments on projections and budgets, and communicate variances against financial targets
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and participate in monthly close processes and reporting
• Assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets
• Collaborate with other Finance interns across the country on a case study project

Majors Targeted: Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related degree

What You Need

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree‑seeking program after the internship.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment‑based sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

$20 min hourly wage - $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
