Job summary

Stryker in Fremont, CA is seeking a Finance or Accounting intern to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting. You will support statements and budgets, and collaborate with teams on projections and monthly close processes.

You will build templates, leverage ERP systems and Excel to automate reporting, and participate in a cross-functional case study with interns nationwide. Applicants must be enrolled in a related degree and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication with collaborative ability.

Opportunities Available

As a Finance or Accounting intern at Stryker, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. Interns may:

• Create and analyze accounting statements and reports to assist in preparing financial statements
• Support teams in developing and improving finance and accounting processes
• Build ad-hoc templates and leverage ERP systems and Excel to automate and optimize reporting
• Coordinate with departments on projections and budgets, and communicate variances against financial targets
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and participate in monthly close processes and reporting
• Assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets
• Collaborate with other Finance interns across the country on a case study project

What You Need

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree‑seeking program after the internship.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment‑based sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

$20 min hourly wage - $35 max hourly wage, sign‑on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
