Job summary

Live Oak Bank is offering a 10-week Summer Internship at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC. The intern will support Wealth Advisors and Client Relationship Managers with planning, reporting, and client communications while gaining exposure to investment planning processes.

You will prepare materials for meetings, assist with business development efforts, and learn portfolio construction based on a Goals Based Financial Plan. This internship is onsite and pays hourly with potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Wealth Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong interest in the Wealth Management industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Wealth Advisors and Client Relationship Managers with planning and advisory activities.
• Create client and prospect presentation materials.
• Run periodic reports of performance and allocations; research earnings and analyst reports.
• Prepare for meetings and develop review materials for business development and marketing efforts.
• Support investment planning activities and help prepare investment analyses.

What You’ll Do at Live Oak

Private Wealth Assist the Wealth Advisors (WA) as well as Client Relationship Managers (CRM) with planning and advisory activities for clients. This consists of creating client and prospect presentation materials, running periodic reports of performance and allocations, researching earnings and analyst reports.

How You’ll Do It

Help facilitate account requests, calendar management, preparing for meetings and preparation of review material. Preparation of materials for potential new business opportunities. Prepare client correspondence and customized professional client presentation materials to support business development and marketing efforts. May assist with investment/wealth planning such as spreadsheet preparation and analysis. Assist the Chief Investments Officers to prepare the mid-year investment newsletter. Learn what goes into Full Balance Sheet Financial Plan. Understand how investment portfolios are created based on Goals Based Financial Plan. Present Financial Plan findings and recommendations to Relationship Management Team.

Preferred Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree with 2 years of educational experience in Wealth Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Strong interest in the Wealth Management industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint #LI-DNI

The base pay range for this position is $19.77 - $32.12 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
