Job description

Introduction
At Emergent Holdings, we’re creating an innovative environment where our employees belong authentically, contribute meaningfully, and thrive intentionally — both personally and professionally.
Overview
This internship provides hands‑on experience supporting project delivery, portfolio management, and operations administration in a dynamic business environment. The intern will assist with tracking project activity, maintaining portfolio information, preparing meeting materials, organizing documentation, and supporting administrative processes that help teams execute work efficiently. This role is ideal for a student who is detail‑oriented, curious, organized, and interested in learning how cross‑functional teams manage priorities, communicate progress, and support business operations.

Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate’s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $18 and $33.

Responsibilities
  • Supports project managers and business partners with project coordination activities, including organizing project documentation, tracking action items, monitoring due dates, and preparing follow‑up materials.

  • Assists with maintaining project and portfolio information in company tools and reporting sources, ensuring data is accurate, current, and aligned across applicable systems.

  • Helps prepare meeting agendas, notes, status updates, presentation materials, and summaries for project, portfolio, and operations administration discussions.

  • Participates in project and operational meetings to learn business processes, capture key discussion points, and support timely follow‑up on assigned tasks.

  • Supports portfolio administration activities such as roadmap updates, initiative tracking, financial or resource‑related data gathering, and preparation of leadership reporting inputs.

  • Assists operations administration teams with issue tracking, process documentation, workflow updates, and coordination of administrative activities that support business readiness and execution.

  • Assist with collecting, organizing, validating, and summarizing basic data to support simple reports and operational updates.

  • Uses company software applications, including standard office productivity tools and project or portfolio management systems, to complete assignments and maintain organized records.

  • Researches, organizes, and summarizes information to support decision‑making, process improvement, and operational planning.

  • Demonstrates learning, professionalism, punctuality, accountability, and a positive attitude while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Prepares and delivers presentation(s) on assigned topic(s), including internship learnings, project support activities, or recommendations for process improvement.

  • Responds to internal customer inquiries and collaborates with team members and business partners in a clear, timely, and professional manner.

  • Maintains confidentiality and follows company policies, procedures, and information security expectations when handling business information.

  • Completes miscellaneous assignments as assigned.

  • This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

Requirements
  • Have status as a sophomore, junior or senior as of the end of the spring term (or be enrolled in an applicable graduate program.)
  • Hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.
  • Be able to work full‑time during normal business hours for this summer.
  • Be available to begin employment between mid‑May and mid‑June.
