Job summary

James G. Davis Construction Corporation seeks a construction management student for a role that blends office work and on-site exposure in the DC area.

You will work with your project team to process submittals, RFIs, and transmittals, prepare scopes of work, and assist with O&M manuals and change orders. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in construction management or architectural engineering, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks with

  • Superior communication skills; organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written.
  • Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with submittals and RFI processing to support on-site construction teams.
  • Prepare change orders and transmittals; review shop and contract drawings.
  • Attend owner and subcontractor meetings; help track punch lists and project progress.
  • Support safety practices and maintain Davies core values on assignments.
