Job summary

DAVIS Construction in the DC area is seeking a motivated student to support office and on-site construction activities. You will help manage submittals, RFIs, scopes of work, and coordination with owners and subcontractors under supervision.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, offering exposure to large projects, professional development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
  • Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently.
  • Superior communication skills; organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Process submittals.
  • Submit RFIs.
  • Develop transmittals.
  • Write scopes of work.
  • Compile O&M manuals.
  • Prepare change orders.
  • Review shop and contract drawings.
  • Attend owner and subcontractor meetings.

Physical Job Demands

Reaching above and below, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending. The employee must occasionally lift / carry / move up to 50 pounds. Compensation and Benefits

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
