Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA invites students to join the Summer 2027 Flight Test Engineer Collegiate Associate Intern program. You will work with engineers across the Innovation, Engineering and Flight teams on real-world projects in a state-of-the-art environment, gaining hands-on experience in aerospace.

Open to undergrads through PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, on-site May 2027.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the listed disciplines.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during Summer 2027, starting May 2027.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (unrounded); must be listed on resume.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and complete discrete tasks on schedule.
  • Apply engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft-related issues using company procedures.
  • Support prototype and test activities throughout the lifecycle of Gulfstream products.
  • Generate and analyze miscellaneous technical test data.
  • Interface with internal organizations and external suppliers.

About The Position

Gulfstream engineering interns in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are an integral part of the engineering staff, contributing to projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

We are looking for all levels of educational experience —from undergraduates to master's and PhD students—who are seeking professional experience in a state-of-the‑art engineering environment. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and contribute by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule.
  • Using company procedures, apply engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft related issues.
  • Support component and full‑scale aircraft prototype and test activities during the lifecycle of Gulfstream products.
  • Generate and analyze miscellaneous technical test data.
  • Interface with various internal organizations such as Production Engineering, Completions Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Support and Procurement as well as external suppliers.
  • Develop knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Other Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Systems Engineering
  • Must be available to work on‑site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
Academic or project experience in one or more of the following areas
  • Aircraft performance, handling qualities, flight controls, flutter, loads, or aerodynamics
  • Avionics
  • Electrical systems
  • Powerplant engineering
  • Mechanical systems
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with MATLAB, or Python
  • Experience with data analysis
