Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA invites high-potential students to join as a Collegiate Associate Intern for Summer 2027 in Powerplant/Propulsion Engineering. You will work directly with a project team to develop solutions for real-world challenges within a state-of-the-art aerospace environment.

Opportunities include hands-on exposure to propulsion systems, turbine engine theory, and nacelle/ thrust reverser topics.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during Summer 2027 (starting May 2027).

About The Position

Gulfstream engineering interns in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are an integral part of the engineering staff, contributing to projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

We are looking for all levels of educational experience —from undergraduates to master's and PhD students—who are seeking professional experience in a state-of-the-art engineering environment. • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
• Aerospace Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Systems Engineering
• Must be available to work on‑site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.

Preferred Interests/skills

• Interest in and working knowledge of aircraft propulsion systems including turbine engine theory and operations and nacelle / thrust reverser systems
• Basic understanding of aircraft systems engineering
• Critical Thinking, understanding of probabilities, technical writing, cause and effect analysis.
