PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, invites applications for a Summer 2027 Estimating Intern. This role supports senior estimators, assists in bid work, and gains exposure to BEST Estimating software and subcontractor coordination.

You will be pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Architecture, Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related field. This on-site summer internship offers growth, training, and a pathway to a future in construction management.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a related degree (Associates or Bachelors).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with estimation tools and MS Office.
• Authorized to work in the US; Denver, CO location.

Responsabilités

• Review quantity survey work with lead estimator.
• Assist in bid document control and preparation.
• Support bid day assignments and subcontractor reviews.
• Visit job sites periodically to gather data.
• Engage with in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating).

Responsibilities

• Review and perform quantity survey assignment with lead estimator
• Bid document control
• Performs bid day assignments
• Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
• Visits job sites periodically
• Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
• Develops relationships with subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Desire a career in construction Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating.
• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software
• Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs
• Must be authorized to work in the US *PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B, etc.) for this position
• 18 years of age or older
• Available to work in Denver, CO, full time from May to August
• Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.

The salary range for this position is between $22 and $28 an hour, based on experience and qualifications. We anticipate this requisition will be open for a minimum of five days, though it may be open for a longer period of time.
