Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc., in Bellevue, Washington, seeks an Estimating Intern for Summer 2027 in the Seattle district within the US Buildings sector. The internship lasts about 3 months, starting May or June 2027, with responsibilities across quantity surveying and bid preparation.

Qualifications include current full-time student status in a construction-related field, US work eligibility, a valid driver's license, and basic drafting/software familiarity.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to travel to and from the office
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Understands and utilizes PCL's estimating manuals, systems and forms
• Reviews quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator
• Performs assigned quantity survey
• Gives quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing
• Performs bid day assignments
• Visits job sites periodically
• Develops relationships with subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator

The estimated salary range for this role is $25 - $28 per hour,based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
