PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Summer 2027 Estimating Intern to support the estimating team on active projects. You will review quantities, assist with bid day, and interact with subcontractors.

This internship runs May–August in Denver, with opportunities to learn BEST Estimating software and gain hands-on experience. Qualified students are pursuing an associate or bachelor’s in drafting, estimating technology, or construction management, and must be able to

Qualifications

• Desire a career in construction Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating.
• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience using On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, Word, Revit, Acrobat, and similar software.
• Effective verbal and written communication with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• 18+; available to work in Denver, CO, full time May–August.

Responsibilities

• Review and perform quantity survey assignment with lead estimator.
• Bid document control.
• Performs bid day assignments.
• Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping.
• Visits job sites periodically.
• Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating).
• Develops relationships with subcontractors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Desire a career in construction Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating.
• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software
• Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs
• Must be authorized to work in the US *PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B, etc.) for this position
• 18 years of age or older
• Available to work in Denver, CO, full time from May to August
• Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.

The salary range for this position is between $22 and $28 an hour, based on experience and qualifications.
