Job summary

Entergy's Project Delivery Engineering Department in New Orleans is seeking a Student, Intern to support engineers in day-to-day activities, with onsite work and up to 25% travel.

You'll help design T-Line solutions, model field configurations, estimate costs and assist on construction projects, maintain drawings, and contribute to automation efforts.

Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil engineering majors, with juniors or seniors graduating December 2027 or later.

Qualifications

• Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering majors.
• Junior or Senior candidate with graduation dates of December 2027 and beyond preferred.
• Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond.

Responsibilities

• Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities.
• Designing optimum T-Line solutions based on project scoping and site visits.
• Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations.
• Estimating project costs and ensuring material is properly ordered and staged.
• Following and providing any necessary assistance on projects in construction.
• Processing as-built documentation.
• Participating in various meetings to support projects, department business, and safety.
• Working on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability.
• Responding to equipment failures.
• Maintaining models and drawings.
• Continuously improving practices through automation.
• Travel may be required for the position.

Intern Job Description:

Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to:
