Job summary

Williams is seeking a Product Engineer to design and deliver in-house software products that support business goals. You will work with stakeholders to translate problems into high-value, production-ready applications, with a focus on AI-enabled solutions and iterative development.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED with 10 years of software development experience.

  • Experience crafting scalable, maintainable software systems.

As a Product Engineer at Williams, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering in-house software products that directly support our business. This role goes beyond traditional development—you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to co-create solutions, rapidly prototype ideas, and translate business problems into high-value, production-ready applications. With a strong focus on AI-enabled solutions, modern development practices, and iterative "vibe coding" collaboration, you will help shape how Williams builds and evolves internal technology products.

Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Leads the design and development of sophisticated software solutions including hands-on development, testing, and debugging
  • Defines technical vision and guides the team in architectural decisions
  • Collaborates with partners to define project goals and requirements
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to developers and teams
  • Contributes to the documentation of software solutions and processes
  • Partners with business teams to apply artificial intelligence capabilities responsibly and creatively across enterprise, operational, and product delivery workflows
  • Leverages generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, and ethical AI practices to solve real business problems
  • Builds or integrates AI-backed features into production systems, experimenting responsibly with emerging tools, platforms, and frameworks
  • Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset by staying current with advances in AI and continuously learning new methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience

Required
  • High school diploma/GED, Vocational/Technical/ Business School, and a minimum of ten (10) years of software development experience
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or related field

  • Demonstrates outstanding organizational/communication skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Expert-level proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and technologies
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience with crafting scalable and maintainable software systems
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding technical teams
  • Proficiency in querying and crafting databases
