Job summary

ATI Specialty Materials seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern for Summer 2027 to support safety initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will work with EHS professionals and plant teams to identify risks, strengthen safety awareness, and develop practical solutions to create a safer workplace.

You will gain hands‑on experience conducting inspections, risk assessments, and evaluating safety technology, while building skills in communication and cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field.
• Interest in working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to identify potential workplace hazards and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate facility safety inspections to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct formal task‑based risk assessments to evaluate hazards and recommend controls.
• Evaluate AI and similar technology solutions for safety communication and engagement.
• Partner with EHS and operations teams to support facility safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
