Job summary

HITT Futures Program is seeking a Commercial Construction Intern in Los Angeles for Summer 2027. The 10-week internship offers mentorship, hands-on learning, and networking events while preparing you for roles in construction management.

Students can expect exposure to project delivery, subcontractor coordination, and document control, with opportunities for professional development and software training.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Previous industry internship, volunteer work, or work experiences is a plus.
• Ability to work ~40 hours per week for 10 weeks.
• Familiarity with project management software and document control processes.

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors and supplier coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control, including drafting submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist with bid packages and subcontractor bid evaluation.
• Aid in progress reporting and client communications.
• Assist with site reviews, coordination of trades, and safety/quality efforts.
