Atwell, LLC is offering a Summer 2027 Internship in Land Development to support our Civil Engineering teams within Real Estate and Land Development. The intern will collaborate with senior engineers, handling AutoCAD Civil3D tasks, plan interpretations, and basic drafting activities.

The role emphasizes site analysis, due diligence, and involvement in permitting and construction documents while gaining hands-on exposure to project scheduling and cost estimation in a team environment.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Entry-level experience with AutoCAD is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Support senior engineers by using AutoCAD Civil3D and interpreting plans.
Draft documents, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer’s opinion of probable costs, schedules, and utility computations.
Conduct research on properties and projects for zoning including local and state requirements.
Complete site visits and field assignments as needed.
Assist in permit applications, construction plans, and related construction documents.
Communicate workload status to the Project Manager and Team Leader to meet chargeability goals.
