Job summary

Knight Piésold Ltd. offers Summer 2027 internship opportunities for students in Civil or Mining Engineering. You will work under experienced engineers on mining and infrastructure projects, gaining real-world experience and mentorship while using industry-standard software.

Interns will support field investigations, geotechnical analyses and design reports, with opportunities to travel for project needs across North America and internationally.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Students entering junior, senior year or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design major earthwork projects such as tailings dams and heap leach facilities.
• Prepare civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Produce design reports and assist with proposals.
• Participate in field investigations and QA/QC activities.
• Contribute to geotechnical analyses and engineering evaluations.
• Support permitting, reclamation and closure activities.
