Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience preferred; hands-on maintenance background.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and email communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support a maintenance crew of 5 to 12 team members.
• Schedule staff and equipment to keep work orders moving.
• Operate and maintain departmental equipment safely.
• Prepare estimates and initiate billable maintenance work.
• Inspect ongoing and completed assignments for quality and safety.
• Oversee resort and HOA maintenance and capital projects.
• Champion a strong safety culture with JHAs and clear safety communication.
• Support hiring and training of new team members and build systems.
• Step in for the Property Support Manager when needed.
• Maintain cordial relationships with staff, owners, and guests.

Overview

Sugarloaf is looking for a hands-on Building Maintenance Supervisor to help lead the team responsible for keeping our resort and managed properties running smoothly and safely. This role starts at an hourly wage of $28-32 depending upon previous leadership/related field experience and offers a career growth path with our resort.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support a maintenance crew of 5 to 12 team members, adjusting staffing to seasonal demand
• Schedule and assign staff and equipment to keep work orders moving and service standards high
• Operate and maintain departmental equipment safely and correctly
• Prepare estimates and initiate billable maintenance work
• Inspect ongoing and completed assignments to confirm quality and safety standards are met
• Oversee resort and HOA maintenance and capital improvement projects
• Champion a strong safety culture, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and clear safety communication
• Support hiring and training of new team members and help build effective systems and processes
• Step in for the Property Support Manager when needed
• Maintain professional, cordial relationships with staff, property owners, and guests

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous supervisory experience preferred; hands-on building maintenance or field experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort with email-based communication
• Familiarity with OSHA general industry and construction safety standards
• Sound judgment and the ability to adapt procedures to new or unexpected situations
• Ability to perform physical work on a regular basis, including frequent lifting and carrying (up to 50+ lbs), climbing ladders, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
