Sugarloaf Base Services is seeking a full-time, year-round maintenance technician to support the Base Lodge and related Food and Beverage areas at Sugarloaf. The role emphasizes carpentry, painting, cleaning, and custodial tasks as needed, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with reliability and initiative.
• Willingness to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must have own transportation to commute to Sugarloaf Base Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across Base Lodge and adjacent areas, including carpentry, painting, staining, light bulb replacement, and minor drywall work.
• Complete monthly inspections and facility checks in a timely manner.
• Prioritize daily tasks and manage time across multiple projects.
• Assist with custodial duties: vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and trash removal.
• Set up and breakdown of conference spaces for events.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor areas, assist with winter preparations and snow/ice removal.
• Support safety and comfort of guests and staff in the base lodge.
• Undertake other duties and maintenance projects as directed.

Overview

Sugarloaf Base Services is currently looking for a full-time, year-round maintenance technician to join our team. For this role, we are looking for a reliable team player with a knowledge of general carpentry, painting, and proper cleaning methods. Base Services Techs maintain our Base Lodge facility and the surrounding Food and Beverage outlet areas at our resort. While this role will be maintenance focused, it may require custodial tasks at times.

The ideal candidate for this position would be timely, detail oriented, willing to learn, and have a positive attitude. This position is eligible for shift meals and many other great benefits.

We have one full-time, year-round position and full-time seasonal spot available at this time and will provide on-the-job training. Starting wage is anticipated to be $18-20/hour depending upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and repair tasks throughout the Base Lodge, such as; basic carpentry, painting, staining, replacing light bulbs, and minor drywall repair as needed.
• Complete scheduled monthly inspections and facility checks in a timely manner.
• Organize and prioritize daily tasks, managing time across multiple projects.
• Assist with routine custodial duties, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, windows and bathroom cleaning, dusting, and trash removal.
• Setup and breakdown of conference spaces for concerts, meetings, and other special events.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor areas, including seasonal preparations for winter operations, maintaining entrances and outdoor areas, assisting with snow and ice removal, sanding and salting as assigned.
• Help ensure the safety and comfort of guests, and employees in the base lodge.
• Complete other duties, maintenance projects, and assignments as directed by the manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

• be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as neededbe able to lift up to 40+ lbs in order to complete tasks
