Job summary

ASR Group, a leading cane sugar refiner and marketer, seeks an Assistant Process Department Manager to plan, coordinate, and control raw sugar and processing operations for the refinery. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting environmental standards, costs, and production goals.

You will lead the Process Team Managers and Supervisors, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across functions to optimize performance and satisfy customer demand.

Qualifications

• Experience leading leaders in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing sustainable programs using lean, TPM, six sigma, etc.
• BS/BA technical degree or equivalent Cane Sugar Refinery management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Coordinate daily/weekly process operations to improve refinery efficiency.
• Oversee inventory planning with Logistics for on-time order fulfillment.
• Guide Process Team Managers and Supervisors to align with business needs.
• Review production outcomes and plan mitigations for issues affecting delivery or quality.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning to balance safety, quality and cost.
• Develop plans to improve departmental performance and long-term goals.
• Plan capital projects to address long-range needs of the department.
• Collaborate on training, cost reduction and program initiatives.
• Improve unit operations to minimize sucrose losses.
