Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced SUE Technician to perform field operations, utility designating, records research, utility mapping, and field documentation.

The role supports a multidisciplinary engineering and surveying environment committed to quality and growth. The position requires 2+ years of field utility locating experience, proficiency with Trimble technology, and a willingness to travel with provided per diem and lodging.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field experience in utility locating required.
• Experience interpreting utility records, designating utilities, and field sketching required, preferably in an engineering design environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of conventional, robotic, and GPS surveying functions, including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations required.
• Land surveying experience preferred.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Various SUE skills and utility mapping experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, navigation programs, and Trimble Data Transfer a plus.

As a SUE Technician, you will be responsible for performing SUE field operations, including utility designating, records research, utility mapping, and field documentation.
