Job summary

ESP Associates is seeking a Senior SUE Technician/Analyst to coordinate and perform SUE field operations in Wilmington, NC. In this role you will designate utilities, research records, and prepare field sketches and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SUE experience, knowledge of DOT and route surveying is a plus, and the ability to travel. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with GPR and vacuum excavation are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SUE experience required.
• Experience interpreting utility records, designating utilities, and field sketching required, preferably in an engineering design environment.
• Excellent work ethic and a self-starter who takes initiative.
• Strong management and organizational skills while performing field operations.
• Experience with NCDOT projects, Heath and Radio Detection equipment, Ground Penetrating Radar, and vacuum excavation a plus.
• DOT and route survey experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Position will involve some travel out of town.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

As a Senior SUE Technician/Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing SUE field operations, including utility designating, records research, and field documentation.
