Job summary

EPS Group is seeking an ambitious, early-career Project Manager to join our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) division in Mesa, AZ. You will learn under the current SUE Operations Manager and gradually lead the service line as the current leader transitions out.

You will gain hands-on mentorship in field logistics, utility locating (ASCE 38), crew coordination, budgeting, and client delivery, with a clear succession path to full management of the SUE division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is required.
• Experience with underground utilities is preferred.
• Ability to understand blueprints and construction documents.
• Safety-minded; certifications are preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Understanding of risk management, budgets, and negotiation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and estimates for projects.
• Oversee construction sites, contractors, and sub-consultants to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to plans from conception to completion.
• Review sub-contractor pay applications to ensure billing, budget, and completion.
• Understand and follow company practices to perform tasks on time and within guidelines.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and processes.
• Interact with team, clients, and vendors professionally, upholding the EPS Group brand.
• Mediates disagreements among the project team and supports client interests.
• Understand liabilities and risks of a project.
• Manage contract requests for information, invoices, additional services, proposals, and changes.
• Complete timecards accurately and review assigned staff, if applicable.
