Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a SUE Project Coordinator I to assist planning and executing underground utility projects. You will coordinate field activities, support QL-A/QL-B investigations, and help document mapping in accordance with standards.

The role reports to a SUE Project Manager and emphasizes safety, quality, and schedule adherence. We value candidates with strong field coordination, utility plan interpretation, and GIS data skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years in utility locating, subsurface utility engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with 811 one-call systems and utility locate protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day field activities for SUE projects and mobilize crews and equipment.
• Perform QA/QC review of field data and documentation.
• Support QL-A and QL-B utility investigations using GPR and EM detection.
• Identify, locate, and map underground utilities to standards.
• Oversee maintenance of tools and equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, clients, and agencies on project status.
