Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. in Tampa, FL seeks a SUE Project Coordinator I to provide project administration, scheduling, financial processing and technical support to Project Managers and staff.

You will assist with monitoring multiple field crews, inventory and maintenance of SUE equipment, training technicians in designation methods and supervising vacuum excavation, ensuring accurate deliverables and strong client service.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associates degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology or 3 years SUE locating experience.
• Basic knowledge of SUE field procedures and equipment.
• Understanding of permitting requirements and utility laws.
• Experience supervising multiple crews and subconsultants.
• Strong communication, client-facing and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, ArcGIS, and GIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide project administration, scheduling, financial processing and technical administration assistance to Project Manager and staff.
• Assist with monitoring projects to ensure cost, timeframes and performance meet customer expectations.
• Monitor and order work supplies; schedule vehicle and equipment maintenance; maintain inventory weekly.
• Train SUE technicians in designation methods and supervise vacuum excavation activities.
• Direct multiple field crews and manage daily routes; ensure quality of deliverables.
• Compile internal documentation and inspect deliverables for accuracy.
• Provide Permit Modifications Requests, 811 Tickets, Records Requests, MOT, Start Work Notices support.
• Assist with new employee onboarding.
• Supervise one or more SUE crews and participate in direct crew activities.
