Job summary

DRMP is seeking a SUE Field Technician to support field efforts for underground utility designating and locating projects in Chipley, FL. You will locate utilities using EMI and GPR and operate vacuum excavation and related equipment.

You will document field data, read technical documents, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and design teams while upholding safety standards. Travel and physical work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel for work, including overnight.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using EMI and GPR.
• Operate vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment.
• Perform utility mark-outs, surveying tasks, and SUE field activities.
• Document field data via sketches, photos, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Read and interpret technical documents.
• Maintain safety and operate and maintain vehicles/tools per safety standards.
• Mentor junior field staff and assist senior team with coordination with clients.
