Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled SUE CAD Technician to join our Atlanta-based team. You will process raw survey data, develop precise SUE CAD plans, and ensure compliance with GDOT standards while collaborating with project managers and field crews.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with MicroStation v8i, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, plus a strong ability to read maps and translate utility records into accurate drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience processing survey data into CAD formats.
• Develop SUE CAD plans per GDOT PDP and EDG guidelines.
• QA/QC checks on CAD drawings for accuracy.
• Follow GDOT SUE Deliverable Checklist for compliance.
• Collaborate with SUE PMs, field crews, and project managers.
• Coordinate with teams to address project-related issues.
• Verify utility locations with field crews.
• Identify CAD workflow improvement opportunities.
• Assist with related tasks to support project goals.

Responsibilities

• Process raw survey data from multiple sources into CAD-compatible formats.
• Develop detailed and accurate SUE CAD plans in alignment with GDOT’s PDP and EDG.
• Conduct rigorous QA/QC checks on CAD drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Follow GDOT’s SUE Deliverable Checklist to ensure compliance with regulatory and project standards.
• Work closely with the SUE Project Manager to meet project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, providing updates and addressing any project-related issues.
• Collaborate with field crews to verify utility locations and resolve discrepancies in data.
• Identify opportunities for improvement within CAD workflows, proposing methods to enhance efficiency.
• Assist in other related tasks as needed to support project goals and client needs.
