Job summary

Volunteers of America Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic in Spokane. This new program combines substance use treatment, behavioral health, care coordination, peer support, and whole-person care to improve access and outcomes for our community.

As an SUDP, you will assess, diagnose, and treat clients, develop individualized plans, provide counseling, coordinate with clinicians, and help

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification in good standing.
• Associate degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field.
• Eligibility to provide Medicaid-reimbursable substance use disorder treatment services.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to complete required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use disorder assessments and establish diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
• Support recovery planning, treatment engagement, and relapse prevention.
• Coordinate care with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community partners.
• Connect participants with resources and services that support long‑term recovery and stability.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and quality improvement efforts.
