Job summary

Aviva Family and Children's Services is seeking a Program Director for its Substance Use Disorder program in the Los Angeles area. You will supervise clinical staff and ensure services meet DMH, SAPC, and DHCS standards while maintaining program fidelity and quality.

You will oversee budgets, contract compliance, and staff development, while collaborating with county agencies and Aviva departments to advance the agency’s mission and trauma-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field required.
• Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC (or comparable) required; licensed for 2+ years.
• Minimum 3–5 years supervisory or administrative experience in SUD/behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise clinical supervisors, therapists, and program staff.
• Oversee day-to-day operations; ensure compliance with LA County DMH, SAPC, and other regulations.
• Monitor service levels, fidelity to EBPs, and risk management within the program.
• Participate in annual operating plan and budget development; monitor expenditures.
• Hire, onboard, train, and retain staff; conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure accurate documentation and audits.
