Job summary

Aviva Family and Children's Services seeks a Program Director to lead the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of a Substance Use Disorder program in Los Angeles. You will maintain program quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise a multidisciplinary team including therapists and counselors.

The role requires advanced licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC), a master's degree, and 3–5 years of supervision in SUD or behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health/human services field is required.
• Active licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or comparable) required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or administrative experience in SUD/behavioral health.
• Experience with LA County DMH/SAPC regulations preferred.
• Strong leadership and fiscal management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise clinical supervisors, therapists, counselors, and program staff.
• Ensure services meet regulatory, contract, and best-practice standards (DMH, SAPC, DHCS).
• Oversee budget planning, expenditures, and financial viability of the program.
• Maintain staffing levels and oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure accurate documentation and participation in quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with DMH, SAPC, DHCS, and external stakeholders; participate in audits and corrective actions.
