Job summary

Center Point, Inc. in California is seeking a Counselor to support men’s residential participants in community reintegration and recovery. Under supervision, you’ll provide individualized and group services using evidence-based practices and maintain required documentation.

You will work face-to-face, coordinate with providers and agencies, promote trauma-informed and gender-responsive care, and help participants address barriers to stability, housing, employment, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health systems.
• Experience with justice-involved individuals preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (SmartCare) preferred.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to maintain timely and accurate documentation.
• Must meet security clearance requirements.
• Must successfully pass DOJ Live Scan background check.
• Must possess a current TB Test.
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group services using evidence-based and participant-centered practices.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and ensure care aligns with Drug Medi-Cal/Medi-Cal standards.
• Engage with participants to promote culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and gender-responsive services.
• Coordinate with community-based providers and government agencies to support community reintegration and recovery.
