Job summary

Kings View Community Services, Inc. seeks a SUD Clinical Supervisor to provide day-to-day supervision and clinical oversight of counseling staff across Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tuolumne counties. The role ensures program operations, staff development, QA, compliance, and responsive client services.

Reports to the Program Manager. The position requires a current SUD counselor certification, five years of relevant experience, and the ability to travel regularly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of directly related experience.
• Current SUD counselor certification in good standing through a certifying organization approved by DHCS, required at hire.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license and ability to travel regularly across counties.
• Knowledge of applicable SUD laws, regulations, clinical practices, and leadership/supervision methods.
• Associate degree with clinical training or valid LVN/RN licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate SUD counseling staff; participate in interviews, onboarding, and personnel recommendations.
• Conduct regular individual and group staff meetings, observe/co-facilitate services, and provide backup counseling as needed.
• Visit assigned counties regularly to promote service consistency and compliance with policies and CLAS standards.
• Coordinate volunteers and interns; provide at least six hours of annual counselor training.
• Complete monthly chart audits and participate in state and county reviews and quality improvements.
• Review client dismissals, suspensions, reinstatements, and completions; respond to client complaints.
• Participate in financial reviews and analysis of collections, intakes, reinstatements, and completions.
• Recommend staffing patterns, program improvements, and potential service expansions; provide monthly county updates.
• Support staff accountability, documentation, confidentiality, safety protocols, and cross-team collaboration.
