Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Subsystem Hardware Engineering Supervisor to lead the Western Range Subsystems Engineering Telemetry and Surveillance team supporting the Space Force Range Contract. You will assign work, mentor staff, and ensure technical quality and timeliness.

Responsibilities include overseeing SFRC processes, guiding project prioritization and technology roadmaps, tracking progress, and coordinating with management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• 5+ years in hardware/systems engineering with DoD lifecycle focus.
• Understanding of AFSPC/SMC and company policies.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
• Willingness to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US citizenship.
• Valid US driver's license; travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Western Range Subsystems Engineering Telemetry and Surveillance team.
• Generate work assignments to meet schedules with qualified personnel.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure technical quality and timeliness.
• Ensure employees are trained with guidance and direction.
• Oversee SFRC engineering processes and procedures.
• Provide leadership in project prioritization and technology roadmaps.
• Identify and resolve issues; manage escalations to management.
• Monitor workflow to ensure on-time delivery per SFRC requirements.
• Prepare progress/status reports and briefings for management.
• Support BOE and ROM estimates for new sustainment Task Orders.
• Ensure safety requirements are followed.
• Manage time accountability with approvals per policy.
• Develop annual performance appraisals and annual goals.
