Amentum is seeking a senior leader to head the Western Range Subsystems Engineering Telemetry and Surveillance team, ensuring alignment with Space Force Range Contract objectives. You will generate assignments, coach staff, and oversee engineering processes while guiding technology road maps and risk mitigation.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering with DoD context, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and strong MS Office skills. Occasional non-duty hours and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• 5+ years in hardware and/or systems engineering with DoD lifecycle knowledge.
• Understanding of AFSPC/SMC, Amentum policies and project responsibilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
• Willingness to work occasional non-duty hours and travel as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (US citizenship required).
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Western Range Telemetry and Surveillance team to meet SFRC objectives.
• Generate work assignments to ensure sufficient qualified personnel.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to uphold standards of quality, service, timeliness.
• Ensure training and guidance for responsibilities are provided.
• Oversee SFRC engineering processes and procedures.
• Provide leadership in project prioritization and technology road map.
• Identify and resolve issues; escalate to management as needed.
• Monitor workflow to ensure on‑time delivery per SFRC requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and briefings for management.
• Support BOE/ROM estimates for new sustainment Task Orders.
