Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Hardware Engineer Senior to support the Space Force Range contract (SFRC). You will design and develop integrated hardware solutions and coordinate across subsystems to meet mission requirements.

The position requires a DoD secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of systems engineering experience, especially in communications instrumentation. Starting salary is $130,000–$140,000 with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, MIS, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Experience with computer hardware, OS software and desktop apps in communications instrumentation.
• Ability to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends.
• Must obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US citizenship required.
• Valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance.
• Integrates hardware and software within the Communications subsystem and coordinates across LTRS subsystems.
• Analyzes potential systems and prepares documentation for performance, stability, interoperability, and lifecycle issues.
• Analyzes and allocates requirements from subsystem down to CI level for projects.
• Assesses range deficiencies to identify and prioritize projects.
• Applies advanced methods and research techniques and supports impact assessments, architecture change and CONOPS change recommendations.
• Provides technical consultation on communications systems modeling and simulation.
• Supports other duties as assigned.
