Job summary

ESS is seeking Substitute Teachers for Wayne, PA, in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District. This role supports classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher, following lesson plans and maintaining classroom routines.

Responsibilities include delivering meaningful instruction, implementing lesson plans, and ensuring safety and order. Required are a Bachelor's degree with PA certification or Act 86 qualifications, plus required state clearances and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and PA Teacher Certification or Act 86-qualified Education Major required.
• Clearances and trainings listed (Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, Act 126, Act 151, Act 71, Act 168) are mandatory.
• TB test; physical may be required in some areas; background checks completed as part of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Substitute Teacher

An ESS substitute teacher assists with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. This person follows and teaches lesson plans, aids students in understanding subject matter, and ensures that regular classroom routines are followed.
