Qualifications

• Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (associate degree or college credits acceptable).
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions per teacher plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Associate's degree or college credits

Teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit

Experience in special education settings

Bilingual abilities or bilingual teaching experience
